DIPHU, Assam : The countdown to International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025 continued with a Yogotsav program at Diphu Police Reserve Camp Field in Karbi Anglong today. The event, marking 78 days until IDY, brought together nearly 380 participants, including police personnel and local residents, in a celebration of wellness and inner harmony.

Organized by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY) under the Ministry of Ayush, the Yogotsav is part of a nationwide initiative to promote yoga’s physical, mental, and spiritual benefits.

The event began with a session on the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) led by Dibya Jyoti Deka, a yoga instructor who has been conducting sessions for the Governor of Assam for the past five years. His expert guidance set a calm yet energized tone for the morning.

Following the CYP, Yogacharya Subhasish Kar delivered a talk on “Yogic Tips for Better Health,” offering practical advice on integrating yoga into daily life. Participants also took part in a live Jal Neti workshop, a traditional yogic cleansing technique known for its respiratory and sinus health benefits.

The program concluded with a message emphasizing wellness, harmony, and the importance of incorporating yoga into daily routines. As part of the 100-day countdown to IDY 2025, the event reinforced yoga’s role in promoting holistic well-being.
