REC Limited commits Rs 21,000 crore to Madhya Pradesh power sector

Bhopal: REC Limited, a Maharatna CPSE and leading NBFC under the Ministry of Power, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Madhya Pradesh at the Global Investors Summit 2025 in Bhopal. The agreement commits REC to invest Rs 21,000 crore over the next five years to enhance the state’s power sector infrastructure.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh; Shri Neeraj Mandloi, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy); Shri Avinash Lawania, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL); Shri Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director, REC Limited; Shri Satyaban Sahu, Chief Project Manager (Bhopal), REC; and other senior officials from both REC Limited and MPPMCL.

This collaboration aims to strengthen transmission and distribution systems, accelerate renewable energy integration, and improve overall power reliability, benefitting industries, businesses, and households across Madhya Pradesh.
