LUCKNOW : The Uttar Pradesh government will hold spiritual sessions for officials on a weekly basis in order to improve efficiency and reduce stress. Sister BK Shivani has already been invited by the state government to deliver a lecture as part of the “Karya Kshamta Vridhi Vyakhyan Maala” (lecture series on improving work efficiency) at Lok Bhavan on Friday. BK Shivani is a Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual Organisation member.

Hemant Rao, additional chief secretary, secretariat administration department (SAD), also issued a circular to all additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries, and secretaries, encouraging them to participate in the programme alongside other officers from their respective departments.

“The goal of the address programme is to provide inspiration for a bright future, to alleviate stress and sorrow through the coordination of spiritualism and science while leading a family life and living in society. This will increase the efficiency of our work and lead to an improvement in quality “In his circular, Rao stated.

Rao has informed the officers about the question-and-answer session following Sister Shivani’s speech. The state government also intends to stream the programme live on its official YouTube channel. The program’s chief guest will be Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra.

The state government has set up large stands with programme posters inside the secretariat’s main entry gates. This is the second programme in a recent lecture series designed to improve the efficiency of the state government’s operations.

The state government had previously invited Dr. Aditya Kapoor, head of the department of cardiology at SGPGI in Lucknow, to deliver a lecture on October 3.

The state government also established a yoga Centre at Bapu Bhavan, the state secretariat, a few years ago.
