Kundli: NIFTEM-K, a premier institute under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, and Nestlé marked 15 years of collaboration in the Nestlé Healthy Kids Program (NHKP), celebrating its transformative contributions to adolescent health and nutrition.
Launched in 2009 with 540 participants, the program has now reached over 6 lakh beneficiaries across India, driving initiatives in nutrition education and sustainability.
The celebration began with a lamp-lighting ceremony led by Dr. Harinder Singh Oberoi, Director of NIFTEM-K, and key dignitaries from Nestlé and partner universities. Dr. Oberoi emphasized the importance of personalized nutrition in addressing non-communicable diseases, leveraging innovations in food science and nutrigenomics for tailored health solutions.
Mr. Sanjay Khajuria, Sr. VP at Nestlé, reflected on NHKP’s growth, while university partners shared insights on their pivotal roles. Beneficiaries shared moving testimonials about the program’s life-changing impact.
