New Delhi: MSME-Development Institute Director Vijay Kumar said Robotics and automated system have become an integral part of food industry.
He was speaking at a panel discussion organised during the the three-day Food India -SIAL event here.

Participating in the discussion Eazy ERP Managing Director Kunal Singhal said, food processing sector is actively acknoledging automation of machine led manufacturing.
” We are witnessing various facets of food processing sector that have transformed. Almost everyone is moving towards handless manufaturing.”
However,MSMEs in the food processing sector are still hesitant to adopt computing applications that can allow proper measurement,tracking and and analysi of data, he said.
Mr Singhal said computing applications like ERPs.CRMs, supply chain visibility help provide factual data that not only enables better decision making but also leads to better productivity.
Few of the companies that have adopted these technologies have certainly benefitted have experienced a visible enhancement in their profitability, he added. The other panelists included Mr V K Mishra, Chairman, agrobusiness Committee PHDCCI, Dr J N Kushwaha,CEO,IBTW India Pvt Ltd. The session was moderated by SME Street Editor Faiz Askari.
The event organised from September 16 to 18 witnessed participants from various countries.
