Gurugram: REC Limited, a leading Maharatna company under the Ministry of Power, has stepped up to improve cancer treatment facilities in Uttar Pradesh. Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, REC has committed ₹14 crore to fund a Linear Accelerator (LINAC) machine for the Trauma Centre run by Sevarth Sansthan Seth Bimal Kumar Jain Trauma & Physiotherapy Dharmarth Samiti (SSB) in Firozabad.
The agreement was signed today by Shri Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director of CSR at REC, and Shri P. K. Jindal, President of SSB. Shri Vivek Kumar Dewangan, Chairman and Managing Director of REC Limited, was also present at the ceremony.

The Linear Accelerator, or LINAC, is a highly advanced machine used to treat various types of cancer, including those affecting the brain, spine, breast, lungs, and liver. This technology allows doctors to target cancer cells with precision, improving outcomes and minimizing damage to surrounding tissues. The new equipment is expected to provide a significant boost to cancer care in the region.
