Chandigarh: Nabha Power Limited (NPL), which operates a 2×700 MW supercritical thermal power plant in Rajpura, Punjab, has accomplished a remarkable feat by winning two prestigious awards at the 7th Edition CII National Energy Circle Competition 2023, which was recently held in Chandigarh.
The event, which is known for recognising outstanding efforts in energy conservation and sustainability, saw Nabha Power take the top honour in the categories of “Innovation in Energy Efficiency” and “Best Case Study in Energy Efficiency.”
The CII National Energy Circle Competition is a well-known platform that encourages excellence and innovation in energy conservation and management. Companies from a variety of industries attend this event in order to be recognised and acknowledged for their outstanding contributions.
In the category of “Innovation in Energy Efficiency,” Nabha Power demonstrated its deep commitment to implementing cutting-edge technologies and practises that optimise energy utilisation without compromising power generation capacity. The company’s initiatives have not only reduced energy consumption but also established new industry benchmarks.
Nabha Power was also named First Runner-Up in the category of “Best Energy Efficient Case Study” for their ability to create an engaging and impactful energy efficiency case study. The comprehensive study provided a detailed analysis of NPL’s various strategies for improving energy efficiency across its operations, demonstrating the company’s proactive approach to implementing sustainable measures.
