New Delhi :CUTS International and USI of India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a long-term partnership to promote India’s global strategic cooperation and professional skill development in military and geo-strategic affairs.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Pradeep S. Mehta, Secretary General of CUTS, and Maj. Gen. BK Sharma, Director General of USI.
The MoU aims to strengthen India’s national security and geopolitics by establishing a framework for international cooperation in defense, trade, and strategic issues.
The collaborative framework aims to foster research, advocacy, capacity building, and networking opportunities for India’s strategic collaborations, promoting its goal of becoming self-reliant and developed by 2047.
This relationship between CUTS and USI strengthens institutional cooperation and aligns with the philosophy of “vasudhaiva kutumbakam” (the world is one family). This would eventually help to promote India’s defense and strategic interests in the global arena.
The two institutions will co-organize a two-day mega summit in New Delhi on July 11-12, 2024, to promote defense cooperation between the United States and India.
