NEW DELHI: The Indian Digital Gaming Society (IDGS), in partnership with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), has announced the Top 10 finalists of the Innovate2Educate Handheld Device Design Challenge at the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025.
Part of the WAVES 2025 “Create in India” initiative, the challenge invited entries from students, startups, and tech innovators across India to design handheld devices blending education and entertainment. The competition received 1,856 registrations.
Following evaluation by a jury panel that included Indrajit Ghosh (Eruditio), Rajeev Nagar (Huion), and Jeffrey Cray (Squid Academy), 10 finalists were selected:
- Karnata Parva – Code Craft Junior
- Vidyarthi – Smart Learning Tablet for Kids
- Tech Titans – Interactive Writing Assistance Device
- Protominds – EduSpark
- Apex Achievers – BODMAS Quest
- Scienceverse – Interactive Handhelds for Children
- V20 – VFit: Learning Through Play
- Warriors – Maha-shastra
- Kiddym Maitri – Math Gaming Console
- E-Groots – Microcontroller Mastery Kit
“This challenge shows how Indian innovators are creating solutions that meet real educational needs while leveraging gamification,” said Rajan Navani, president of IDGS.
A nodal officer from the Ministry said the initiative promotes innovation in India’s hardware ecosystem and supports the India Semiconductor Mission.
Finalists will showcase their prototypes at WAVES 2025, May 1–4 at Jio Centre, Mumbai. Winners will be honored at the summit’s Grand Finale.
