NEW DELHI/JERUSALEM: CUTS International and the SIGNAL Group have signed a strategic memorandum of understanding to formalize a long-term partnership aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and contributing to global policy discourse.
The agreement brings together CUTS International, a 40-year-old global public policy research and advocacy organization headquartered in India, and the SIGNAL Group, Israel’s leading nonprofit focused on international strategic affairs. The two institutions plan to collaborate on research, policy analysis, capacity building, and high-level networking efforts.
The MoU was signed virtually by Pradeep S. Mehta, secretary general of CUTS International, and Carice Witte, executive director of the SIGNAL Group, in a ceremony marking an important milestone in India-Israel relations.
The strategic alliance is designed to explore cooperation in key areas such as strategic affairs, global trade, investment policy, technology, and regional security. Special emphasis will be placed on the Indo-Pacific and Middle East, two regions that are becoming central to global power dynamics.
The partnership aims to combine SIGNAL’s expertise in China, the United States, the Indo-Pacific, and regional issues with CUTS’ global influence in trade, security, and regulatory frameworks. The goal is to generate actionable insights for policymakers, business leaders, and academic communities in both countries and internationally.
Both organizations expressed a shared commitment to fostering dialogue, cooperation, and cross-cultural understanding. They emphasized the importance of joint efforts in shaping peaceful and prosperous outcomes through knowledge exchange and strategic engagement.
Framed by the Indian ethos of vasudhaiva kutumbakam—the world is one family—and the Jewish principle of achdut ha-kol—the unity of all things—the collaboration reinforces India’s strategic outreach and Israel’s regional engagement. It sets the foundation for a forward-looking and multidimensional relationship.
CUTS International and the SIGNAL Group intend to contribute meaningfully to a secure, sustainable, and interconnected global future through this new partnership.
