ReNew Power (ReNew), India’s leading clean energy company, is using its wind and solar assets to boost patriotism and support the Centre’s Independence Day “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. While doing so, it highlights India’s long history of clean energy.
A transition to a more green and sustainable economy is unavoidable in light of the country’s ambitious climate goals set out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at last year’s COP26 summit in Glasgow.
To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Independence, the company is festooning flags alongside a large section of solar panels in its sprawling solar park; Jasmar and Bhadla in Rajasthan’s districts of Bikaner and Jodhpur, respectively.
ReNew Chief Sustainability Officer Vaishali Nigam Sinha commented on the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, saying, “This is an excellent initiative by the Centre, and we are proud to be a part of it as we work to support India’s historic clean energy shift for a cleaner, greener, and healthier nation for our future generations, as well as the Prime Minister’s’ LIFE ‘ (LiFE) movement.”
