Ranchi-based Bishop Westcott Boys’ School (BWBS) and Bishop Westcott Girls’ School (BWGS) organized their second annual alumni meet ‘EWA 2018’ here this weekend to reunite ex-students.
The programme saw the ex-students which included IT professionals, doctors, engineers, academicians, journalists and banking professionals, recall their student days, the path they had traveled and also share their experiences over the years.
Speaking about the meet, attended by around 100 ex-students from both the schools, EWA President Gautam Kumar said, “It was an amazing evening, met so many Westcottians from both the schools at one place. We felt proud to be a Westcottian. It was a well coordinated get together.”
“It was a day to relive the time we spent in the school campus,” said Vineeta Dhanani, Vice President of the Ex-Westcottian Association (EWA).
The joint alumni association was founded in 2006 under the Presidentship of Satish Midha, a Ranchi-based senior medical professional.
Since then, the association is involved in conducting social welfare works in Ranchi and its surrounding areas.
Delhi Organizing Committee Chief Manoj Singh and his deputy Gyan Shankar shared their experience in conducting the meet successful one and said, “It was a nostalgic and reminiscent night, meeting all those seniors and juniors, remembering the mischievous acts which we all used to do during our school days.”
The office bearers of EWA have decided to hold the meet across the major cities in the country, Kamlesh Singh, EWA’s Joint Secretary informed. They said the next meet would be held in Bangalore, followed by Mumbai.
